Switzerland has one of the most immigration rates in Europe,22.4% are foreign born.

Here is a little history about immigration.
In the 1600's, people moved there from France where they were being prosecuted for their religious beliefs. They moved to Switzerland to had freedom of religion.

Then, in the nineteenth century they hired many Italian workers to work in machine factories. That really increased the population.
